RNC Celebrates Women's History

Sharon Day, Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee led a celebration of Women's History Month last night at the Capitol Hill Club with young Congressional staffers and Republican women in the DC metro area.  In her talk she emphasized the importance on networking and the gathering was a good place to start that process.  Ms. Day also declared that women are not looking for outreach from the Party, but a Partnership with the organization that will implement a cooperative, concerted effort to persuade and bring more women in to the body  and into leadership roles.  Women are 53% of the electorate--equal is the least they should be. 

 Ms. Day began a tradition of honoring  Trailblazers among Republican Women for their accomplishments within and on behalf of the party and it's ideals.  Mary Louise Stewart from Iowa was the first and only woman Chair of the RNC. An award in her name went to American Samoan Amata Radewagen.

Jean Kirkpatrick, who switched from Democrat to Republican during the Reagan presidency, was the first woman to be the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.  An Award in her name went to Riva Litman, who as a staffer for Representative Cathy Mc Morris Rodgers, works in the U.S. Congress on Women's interests and status. 

The Susan B. Anthony Award went to a descendant of hers, Robin Reed, who has carried on Ms Anthony's crusade of expanding women's rights and participation in the political process.  

Google & Obama

Psychologist Robert Epstein had a problem with Google over an article he posted that led him to think perhaps Google has too much power.  He conducted a series of experiments that led him to the conclusion that the search engine could possibly-even probably influence elections.  Well No Duh, Robert.  As I read this article over three pages I saw Barak Obama's face multiple times--that's a WaPo decision. As for Google--what about its residence in the White House itself and what is the relationship between those Google ex-executives and the multi-million person database Obama has with up to 80 data points per individual? At what point did this nation decided that the White House should have detailed information on American citizens and what more will the Democrats get with Obamacare, which for the first time will mandate that the IRS share information across the government-something that has been strictly prohibited up to the "total transformation of America" as proscribed by Obama?

Introductory remarks or I woulda said if I coulda

WOMEN VOTE REPUBLICAN Welcome and thank you for coming. My name is Linda Bartlett and Susan Allen and I started talking about having this function last April. First I want to thank Lindsay Bomar and Anne Erickson for their skill in organizing functions. The American Tap Room staff, especially Frank Mitolo and Donna Giarratana. Also Therese Antonio for help with publicity, and Violeta Warner our unofficial photographer. Our purpose today is to say “Yes, Virginia, Women Vote Republican and we have outstanding examples of why we do here today. I was at a meeting last week with Anita Moncrief, the young black woman who blew the whistle on ACORN. In announcing this meeting I said “the thing I detest most about the Democrat party is their identity politics-and I heard Ms Moncrief emphatically agree. She’s been there and she knows how degrading it is. But sometimes you have to play on the enemy’s field in order to have a chance of winning—so this is our push back against the myth that all women vote for the left. The Daily show sent a person to the dem convention to report on just how “inclusive” the modern democrat party is. He talked to ordinary conventioneers and all said exactly the same thing—“We are big tent, inclusive, welcome everyone---well, except, the gun toting red necks, to which the reporter said-yeah we don’t need that 150 million, we don’t want those Republican science illiterates—somewhere here is BJ Bluth, who retired from NASA just before Obama retired NASA itself—no science there—we don’t want those crazy Evangelicals who have never read the Bible-the reporter said Oh they read the Bible—no they don’t she said-the woman apparently believes Republicans can’t read, we don’t want any corporate thieves-would we be talking Solyndra? and of course, they said we don’t want any of those people from Tampa coming around. The Daily show audience laughed-that’s their job after all—but the level of ignorance, and prejudice was astonishing and if you believe the principle that people vote for those who seem most like themselves or who mirror their aspirations then we are talking about the kind of people currently in charge of this nation. It was after all Barak Obama who said “we will reward our friends (and indeed he has to the tune of 1 trillion $-and we will punish our enemies. The first president in history to publicly disparage over 40% of the citizens he took an oath to protect and defend. Fortunately for our side, we have here today representatives of all those groups the dems don’t like—literate, leaders in business, technology, science and government, women who are influential and leaders in their communities and beyond. We’re not taking off our bras-we’re taking off the gloves. Most political advisers believe women will be the difference in this election-I agree and that is our job for the next 45 days. And we have help-some of whom you will hear in our program today that features George and Susan Allen, Congresswoman Jamie Herrera Beutler, (Myra Beerman), Congressman Frank Wolf and wife Carolyn, Delegate Barbara Comstock, and Victory personified Pete Snyder. First up is Miki Miller, president of the VA Fed of Republican Women-the largest political organization in the Commonwealth and is also part of the NFRW which is one of the largest in the country. She is from Chesapeake and she is a political force there and in the 4th CD. She travels constantly visiting the 68 clubs in VA and she is going to tell us what she has observed of women’s political involvement since her election in April. Following Miki is Pete Snyder was appointed by Governor McDonnell to head Virginia Victory. He is an accomplished and successful business man, who through his endeavors has created many jobs in the Commonwealth. He is also constantly on the road bringing inspiration and money to every part of Virginia in our collective effort to turn this nation around.

Scott Brown, running for re-election to the Senate in Massachusetts and against someone who is to the left of Obama, if that's possible, has put together a brilliant video. It's a little long but well worth watching.

Conservatives on Obamacare

Surprisingly the WashPost has three Conservative articles on Obamacare in the 1 July Sunday paper. They present an important perspective outside all the yelling on both sides of the debate.
First, Kathleen Parker says< "Obama won the day almost by accident," but not the way he anticipated winning--or losing for that matter. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/kathleen-parker-justice-robertss-resurrection/2012/06)/29/gJQAaDEtBW_story.html) By effectively shutting down the expansion of the Commerce Clause, and validating the law as a tax, Obama may have bragging rights for the near term, but will have to defend his signature achievement knowing that if he, Pelosi,and Reid had campaigned on the measure as a new and huge tax with 21 separate components it would not have passed. One of those is a tax on the employee who has health coverage which is deemed to be too good. This would apply to many unionized employees if they had not already gotten a waiver from participating in Obamacare. This then brings up the concept of equal treatment before the law, which this statute decimates. And since Wisconsin brought union goodies to the forefront, this will be an easy argument to make.
Georgetown University Constitutional Law Professor Randy Barnett agrees with the assessment of the Commerce Clause and the issue of taxation. He says that Conservatives may have lost, but the Constitution and therefore the future of limited government won. Much has been said about the motivations of Chief Justice Roberts-all of which is blather since, like the punditized outcome, no one can really know. But, if only part of Robert's decision was to avoid a continuing controversy like Roe v Wade, then I think he succeeded on that point. Keeping in mind that the left would not maintain a protest once a year in front of the Court, but would rather burn the place down, we all dodged a literal bullet in that sense. Plus, political campaigns can never be structured around the expansion or contraction of the Commerce Clause, but are almost always waged and most often won on limiting the power of Congress to tax.
Charles Lane calls the decision the "Compromise of 2012, and in that he may be correct. The constitutional way to defeat both Obama and his abomination of a health care law is at the ballot box, not with bricks though a Starbucks window or camping out in city parks.
Many on the right say Democrats cannot win on the issues, so they must demonize their opponents, and that will ratchet up big time this summer. Not to overdue on the right side, the Post's ombudsman twisted himself in knots over their previous article on Romney and Bain. Nevertheless, whichever side you come down on the decision, unless you want more of this most lawless and destructive administration, you must vote for Romney. Those who have declared they will not vote are actually voting for Obama because his entire strategy is voter suppression of the opposition.

Obama's War on Women

This is an op. ed. written by former Loudoun County, VA Senate candidate Patricia Phillips. In 2004 Elinor Burkett published "So Many Enemies, So Little Time: An American Woman in All the Wrong Places" (http://www.amazon.com/So-Many-Enemies-Little-Time/dp/0060524421)that asked the question "where are all the feminists and why are they not supporting President Bush and Laura Bush as they tried to un-enslave Afghan women?" Burkett describes herself as a life-long feminist and part of the NOW crowd. Since she had seen the deplorable condition of many women in that area, championing any effort to alleviate those conditions was a no-brainer. The feminist retreat on women's rights started with Clinton's Monica when he broke the very law against sex in the work place that he had signed to much bally-hoo not long before. It continues to this day because Gloria Steinam et al were never so serious that they could abandon the Democrat party over little things like public be-headings for accused adultery. Now as then, the War on Women is being waged by Democrats.

On May Day, 2012, President Barrack Obama announced the reopening of the real War on Women. The President’s “New Chapter” in Afghanistan will surrender the women of Afghanistan to the atrocities of the Taliban. That is the bottom line in President Obama’s reiteration that the United States will finish withdrawing our troops from Afghanistan by 2014 regardless of the conditions on the ground.

Sure enough, hours after Obama left the country, the Taliban took credit for a suicide car bomb that killed 7 and injured 17, mostly children on their way to school. Are we so self-centered, so easily wearied from the arduous and difficult task in Afghanistan, that we will turn a blind eye to the slave-like treatment of 50% of the population - women and girls – under the Taliban? Because that is exactly what the US capitulation will do.

Following the 9-11 attack, in 2001 United States waged war against the Taliban-run government of Afghanistan because the Taliban refused to break with Usama bin Laden’s al-Qaida. Once we became involved in Afghanistan, the full horror of the Taliban’s oppression became clear. Like the Holocaust in World War II, once we had boots on the ground, the truth and extent of the Taliban’s atrocities to their own people, and especially women, became undeniable.

Women will be completely oppressed, once again. Girls’ schools will be closed. The Taliban are so determined that girls should not learn how to read or write that they will violently attack the schools if they do not close “voluntarily”. They would rather kill girls than let them go to school. Women who don’t “choose” to wear the veil will risk having acid thrown in their faces, at best disfiguring them but likely blinding them for life. The choice to earn a living or choose a career will once again become only a dream, while the reality of their situation an unending nightmare. The void of music and dancing are insignificant compared to the truly slave-like existence they will live.

When we learned Elizabeth Smart had been abducted and hidden away, to be raped repeatedly, the nation was appalled, and her abductor was sentence to life in prison for his crimes. Yet we are neglectfully abandoning the entire female population of Afghanistan to a lifetime of Smart’s ordeal, by leaving the country ill-equipped to keep the Taliban at bay.

In the past decade, despite suffering numerous defeats on the battlefield, the Taliban has not moderated. It remains a dominant force in Afghanistan devoted to restoring an absolute rule that allows no opposition. It is waiting for our President’s self-imposed deadline to pass. Absent the United States, it will become the predominant force again. No matter what our President hopes will change, the Taliban’s gross mistreatment of women is part of its radical ideology and is unmovable.

The President is keeping a campaign promise he made to his base of supporters in 2008. The women of Afghanistan will pay for Obama’s promise in blood and tears. And we will pay again later, in the same currency.

I’m no expert in foreign affairs. This is just common sense based on what is known on the surface. I can’t remain silent and let this go by with comment.

Mr Clean goes to D.C.

According to former US Representative from Rhode Island, Patrick Kennedy, the White House and political operation of Obama--the dude who promised to end business as usual in DC, it's a "quid pro quo" operation. Kennedy admits that most of the folks he deals with in the White House are old friends, but he says it is still important that they know he is not a "slouch," and he figures his $35,000 contribution to the re-elect campaign will guarantee administration cooperation on his pet project. Obama was going to heal the vitriolic dialog, and get things done.
To start with he should have told Harry Reid, the guy who has done absolutely nothing in his position as majority leader for three and a half years--except hold votes on Obama's budgets, which have gone down in flames all three years-including when Harry had 60 democrats. And while we're on the subject of business as usual, Obama must have been talking about the previous democrat administration when entrance to the White House was referred to as a turnstile-put you money in the slot and come on in. That however was NEVER said about the Bush administration, and you can be sure that if Brian Williams could have proved that it would have led the news every night for 8 years.
So Mr Clean isn't so clean, but then we are not surprised--it is Chicago politics after all.

Peggy Noonan called Barak Obama Creepy.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
I wrote her a letter saying I did not have her ivy league friends, megaphone, platform, or money, but I knew the dude was bad news asked what her excuse was so terribly wrong. No answer, duh!

If you scroll down a few of the comments you'll see other people castigating Noonan for her support of Obama in 08. One guy tells her the next time she is tempted to vote for a savior to stay home.
I would ditto that.
This country doesn't do messiahs in the white house we do leaders who have at least some understanding and appreciation of the country.

Cartoonish Democrats

The WaPo put all their news in the Style Section on March 12, 2012.

The link is an article about cartoonist Gary Trudeau taking on the abortion
issue. It seems perfectly appropriate that the spokesman for the
main, and often seemingly only, issue in the Dems platform is a
comic-literally. Though we may feel like Mr Trudeau and his fellow
leftists in the Dem party is a joke, it's a very expensive and bad joke-- one that is hurting everyone very significantly.

Dems always say, well Republicans are in favor of capital punishment. That's true. Both sides favor one kind of execution. The difference is, the right goes after the guilty, and the left kills the innocent.

Advocate for Unconstitutionality of Obamacare

The Style section of the WaPo, Monday, March 12, 2012 has the most interesting news in the paper today.

BTW- headline on the front page "As gas prices rise, president's
ratings fall," but we already know that. There is an interesting graph of poll results. Obama has high negatives on anything having to do with the economy, deficit, budget, and gas prices--up to 63%. However, when asked which party is preferred to handle matters, and specifically issues involving women the dems way out-poll the GOP. This is an issue the women's group are going to have to deal with in a high visibility manner.

Executive Control of Everything

We will be in real trouble when the leadership in the military agrees with Obama and like politicians who disdain the separation of powers and other limits on fed power in the quest to "get things done" George Will makes this observation today in the Washington Post:

At a meeting in DC last week of the Association of the U.S Army, Chief of Staff General Odienro commented on Obama's SOTU and its beginning and ending with praise for the military's cohesiveness and efficiency in achieving an objective saying that our politics should be similarly organized and efficient.

Several years ago Markos Moulitsas of the left-wing web site thedailykos.com was interviewed on C-SPAN regarding a book he had written.
He told Brian Lamb that he was a Republican before he joined the Army and went to Desert Storm. He said when he saw how effective the military is at stating objectives and then accomplishing them by interacting and cooperation, he realized that all society should be thusly organized. Disappointingly Moulitsas was never challenged by Lamb. The military is many wonderful things, but it is NOT a Democracy where opposing views are essential and compromise necessary for the continuation of the system as laid out in our Constitution.

Put all this together with Obama's request to "re-organize" the entire Executive Branch and his theme of "can't wait" and this nation has a problem that goes way beyond Obamacare.

The Far Left in Fairfax

Last night in Fairfax County Virginia, the far-left wing of the local Democrat Party convened in Bonnie Brae precinct to help their beloved, but failing candidate for the county Board of Supervisors, Janet Oleszek. State Senator Chap Petersen, and School Board candidate Megan McLaughlin did most of the talking for Oleszek, since debating, explaining, and having ideas are not her strong points. In 2007 when she ran for the Senate against Ken Cuccinelli the Washington Post wrote that she was "embarrassingly short of substance." Just last Sunday when they evaluated her current performance against John Cook, they labeled her "lackluster," which must be Post speak for dumb.
The format for the contest last night, the fifth of ten such events, was that each of the three candidates had 30 minutes to introduce themselves, explain their programs and take questions. The incumbent, John Cook went first and answered many questions with exacting detail. He is quite plainly the best supervisor this magisterial district has ever had, and is the best on the current board. The Independent candidate, who often serves as a foil for Oleszek, meaning she only has to talk 1/3 of the time and not half,while he lobs the bombs, commented on Cook's answers and took some questions as well. Oleszek then calls up her friends to do most of the talking for her, and all of the talking was about the school board. Almost none of it had to do with issues that the Board of Supervisors would deal with, and she took no questions.
The most interesting thing about the evening was not that Janet did not talk much--that was actually a blessing for those in the audience. The interesting stuff was what candidates McLaughlin and Petersen had to say, and the fact that they are so closely allied with the candidate furthest to the left probably in the entire state and that their remarks were often at odds with their campaign speeches in other venues with other audiences. McLaughlin portrays herself as a reformer, advocating transparency and an audit of the school budget. Clearly her political party is more important to her than good governance, because no one would say that having Janet Oleszek on the BOS would mean good governance. So, her claim as a reformer is in doubt. And, she also agreed with the implied premise that taxes should be raised and that the school budget should go up automatically. Petersen was then asked to explain the State retirement system for teachers, a subject over which the county board would have no jurisdiction. Petersen was happy to help out since he is the one who recruited Oleszek to run in the first place as they are ideologically sympatico.
The bottom line is that the school board, dominated by Democrats, and indeed the school system has serious issues and a vote for a Democrat like McLaughlin is a vote for the status-quo. With half of the board resigning, everyone in the county understands the status-quo is no longer tolerable.
The same is true of the Board of Supervisors where the current leadership, if we can call it that,is ignoring the under funded public employees pension funds and the projected $100 plus million short-fall beginning a year from now. One of the more astonishing things McLaughlin said last night was that the county has pulled out of the recession. This county has never been in a recession., but it is coming with hundreds and maybe thousands of lay-offs from the federal government. It's just hard to imagine where she has been, but not difficult to understand where she wants to go and that is not a place that would be good for the Fairfax school board or school system. The only logical vote in the Braddock race is for retired Navy Captain Nell Hurley.
As for Petersen,the Virginia version of Huey Long, his left-leaning politics were evident though he constantly poses as a "moderate." No one can push someone as far to the left and yet as totally incompetent as Janet Oleszek, and keep up that pretense. The vote here is for Gerarda Culipher.

The Definition of Corruption

I heartily agree with Bruce Ackerman and Ian Ayres in "A Hatch Act reply to the high court, (Tuesday, 26 January, 2010 in the Washington Post, http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/25/AR2010012502970.html), that all corporations or entities, especially the very large ones, should have to make a choice between receiving money from the federal government and endorsing candidates. Like all Democrats they are outraged by the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the First Amendment and give due deference to Freedom of Speech.
Their solution is to disallow any federal contractor from contributing to political campaigns., and they specifically mention defense contractors, believing that would cut down on money for Republicans. I agree with that, but I would broaden it to any federal payout. If an entity gets a subsidy, whether for a service or a good or not, it should not then be able to turn around and subsidize the person or persons who decided to give them the subsidy in the first place. This is the very definition of political corruption.
Not long after the 1994 political revolution, Newt Gingrich proposed just that, but the proposal did not last through the day. In the lead with the hatchet was AARP; and interested parties included Planned Parenthood, La Raza, ACORN, the NRA et al. There isn't a substantive difference between a company that builds and maintains an airport for the benefit of one politician and 10 of his friends, the company that supplies replacement toilets for the Army, and the group that uses federal money to locate AIDS patients among illegal itinerant workers. Whether the business is for or not for profit, they are all in the business of generating income and they all get their opportunity to do this from the American taxpayer. But, the taxpayer only has the privilege of paying, never of deciding who gets the cash.
So, yes, Mrs. Pelosi, who promised the most transparent and honest government four years ago and who has delivered just the opposite, here's your chance to produce as promised. Follow the advice of these two Yale lawyers, and ban all contributions to members of Congress from entities receiving federal subsidies. Indeed!

The First Massachusetts Republican Senator

The first Republican Senator from Massachusetts was Charles Sumner who held the seat from 1851 until his death in 1874. Sumner was first elected as a Democrat, but he was a fervent Abolitionist. He was instrumental in organizing the Republican Party and in the election of Abraham Lincoln.
In 1856 Charles Sumner, not known for rhetorical restraint, delivered a speech in the Senate that was full of invective. Two days later he was attacked by the nephew of the South Carolina Senator that Sumner had singled for particular scorn. It took Sumner nearly three years to recover, but the beating did nothing to dim his passion for abolishing slavery in the United States.
Shortly before his death he wrote a bill that would outlaw discrimination in public accommodations, but he died before it passed. His bill became known as the 1875 Civil Rights Act and though it was struck down by the Supreme Court, the Republican Charles Sumner’s bill would be re-born 89 years later as the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
During a speech in the campaign of 1860 Charles Sumner said, "If ever there was a moment when every faculty should be bent to the service, and all invigorated by an inspiring zeal, it is now, while the battle between Civilization and Barbarism is still undecided. Happily, a political party is at hand whose purpose is to combine and direct all generous energies for the salvation of the country. The work must be done, and there is no other organization by which it can be done. A party with such an origin and such a necessity cannot be for a day, or for this election only.
If bad men conspire for slavery, good men must combine for freedom. And when this triumph is won, securing the immediate object of our organization, the Republican Party will not die, but, purified by long contest with slavery, and filled with higher life, it will be lifted to yet other efforts for the good of man.
Others may dwell on the past as secure; but to my mind, under the laws of a beneficent God, the future also is secure, on the single condition that we press forward in the work with heart and soul, forgetting self, turning from all temptations of the hour, and, intent only on the cause."

This certainly has echoes for the present. While we are not looking at slavery per se, it is evident that were the many provisions on Obama’s agenda being pushed by the far left in this country to be enacted, the individual freedom of Americans would be greatly curtailed. And, more important, the security and prosperity of future generations would be all but erased.
Scott Brown, the new Senator from Massachusetts, has captured the imagination and support of Republicans and Independents from across the country simply because he enunciated the concerns of the majority as well as their desire for common sense and private sector solutions to the nation’s dilemmas. Brown took Obama’s promises during the 2008 campaign and in effect committed the Republican Party to carrying out those promises on behalf of the American people.

Letters to Congress

Today the House voted down a planned rate hike for Medicare. Now I'm not particularly fond of that hike, but since the main problem with the health bills they are considering is the cost, how do we believe anything they say when they cannot even pay for those ongoing programs that are already on the verge of bankruptcy. Not to mention that some kind of made up currency is now going to replace the dollar in foreign exchanges. These people are determined to preside over the demise of the United States.


The health care bills being considered are travesties. You had the chance today to start paying for obligations already incurred in medicare and the vote was to rescind the rate hike. How in the world do you think any rational person can sign on to anything more when you can't even pay for the programs in existence. No to Barney Frank's "medicare for everyone"

Birds of a Feather...

It is no surprise to me that the Obama administration supports the extra-constitutional actions of the Hugo Chavista former president of Honduras, since their ambitions are the same. If any of the health care bills pass by this time next year the White House will control 95% of all mortgages, a hefty slice of the banking industry, 100% of all student loans (they can have high default rates, which taxpayers will be responsible for), the health industry including doc and hospitals, health insurance, and good chunks of the rest of the insurance industry. Archie-izing and Other Liberal Strategies

If you have no cogent argument against a proposition, attack your opponent and ignore their argument. That’s a basic tactic of liberals/progressives. They have been using it successfully for decades. The most popular form of this tactic is using the straw man of race against anyone opposing the loony liberal (sorry for the redundancy) ideas supported by the left. The archetype of this is Archie Bunker, a creation of the liberal entertainment elites that conveniently depicts the angry, bitter, stupid, hate-filled racist that, to them, illustrates the troglodyte thinking of white men in America. The idea, which has had great success, is to demonize all the white men and all of their ideas as something to be scorned and disregarded, regardless of what any one of these people think or say or do because their thinking and therefore their thoughts, words and actions spring from the hideous well of race hatred. This idea is rooted in the belief that you can judge the thoughts, words and actions of a white man by the color of his skin.



Enter Joe Wilson, who for some reason that may or may not involve his being emotionally overcome by having to listen to a bald-faced lie by President Obama, shouted “You Lie!” during a speech before a joint session of the Congress. Don’t consider that what was just uttered is certainly a lie. Just look at Joe Wilson and make your judgment that his statement must be disregarded because it is surely motivated by race because – horrors! – he’s a white man! Jimmy Carter, whose signal accomplishment as President was to do such a horrible job that the electorate elected Ronald Reagan in a landslide, provides cover for those who believe that you can judge a white man by the color of his skin by calling the people who have demonstrated against the policies of the Obama Administration racists. Whenever I think about the miserable incompetence and worse of the Carter administration, I always think about their signal accomplishment. It may have been worth it.



Expect to see more of this race straw man and “Archie-izing” from Obama surrogates, because it has worked for forty years or more. Don’t expect to see or hear any such talk from Obama. He’ll stay out of sight on this issue – along with Rev. Wright.

Tea Party II

I was right up there on the Capitol lawn just to the left of the steps behind that tree. For 4 hours people marched up Pennsylvania Ave. We watched as the lawns filled up then the mall filled all the way the way to the Washington Monument. It was a glorious sight. We heard on the radio that there was 1.5 milllion. I did see on Fox&Friends this morning a wonderful picture that actually shows more people than this one from London. People were all so friendly, just like your hometown neighbors. One sight I will never forget as we passed a station on the Metro--a lone man stood on the platform with a sign that read"One Disgusted Democrat'. My two grown daughters were with me. It was a time in history that I shared with them and we will keep working for America and the Constitution. It was a wonderful day that I feel we all did make a difference and we will know for sure in the elections.
